Black Rosetta
Where do waves come from?
"Black Rosetta" is a compass rose placed in the middle of the fountain in the Jardin Anglais. It comprises two discs nesting within one another, with differential interior and exterior gradients. The installation captures and reacts to meteorological data in real time, to atmospheric pressure and to the rate of microparticles in the air. A series of compact fans then generate waves on a textile inside the basin. This work calls on the imagination of Poseidon, god of sea and oceans.
