From the lakeside to the Old Town

For twelve years now, the Geneva Lux festival has been offering a bright and poetic interlude in the heart of winter.  Each year, it attracts an ever-increasing number of people:  Genevans, young and old people, families, commuters who make a detour to the festival before returning to their homes at night, but also a lot of inhabitants of the further afield in the region and more and more tourists.

As a popular artistic festival, Geneva Lux has always had the "mission" of bringing the heart of the city to life and inviting as many people as possible to take a walk even in the cold and frost of late January. This year, it is therefore a natural progression for Geneva Lux to develop within the Old Town. From January 16th to February 1st, between the harbour and the historic center, the public will be able to discover around twenty works of art and performances, with for the first time creations imagined in the rue de la Fontaine and in the Cathedral; a unique immersive experience. An excellent festival to all!

From Darkness to Light

The festival ascends to new heights, presenting a new sound and light show at Saint-Pierre Cathedral.

It unites the ancestral heritage of the old town with more contemporary visions.

Some works of art imagined as modern ceremonies open poetic interludes, like sensory bubbles that seize and transport us elsewhere through a doorway to the world of dreams.

In the heart of winter, light brings us together and lifts us up.
